Too focused on eCommerce - but overall great introduction with helpful templates and exercises

It presents one way of starting an online business, doesn't explore the topic in-depth, and doesn't offer various solutions for example starting an online business fast or with a budget of $50 or less. It has only one approach - assume what you want to do and do it, instead of approaching it from a different approach like identifying a problem creating a solution and then validating a solution (getting paid for your offer), which can start an online business within a couple of days, get paid and build from there.

Dumbed down info read word for word off a screen by someone who hasn't started a business. The children they use for their experts are misguided and arrogant who no longer have their shopify stores operating. The one that does has her page full of spelling errors. Don't waste your time, just go watch a shopify tutorial. This was a comical attempt that makes Udemy content look high level. Absurd coursera published this.

If i could go less than 1 star I would. This course contridicts the most basic rules of good business and professional marketing. Some of the notions in this course were absolutely absurd.

Amazing! From start to finish, this whole course is designed for freelancers, business persons planning to launch a new online business (along with all the brand developing techniques), people already having a business but planning to also shift and move online, people who are not great about everything an online business essentially requires. So, this course is designed more with a practical purpose in one the easiest format and structure, do at as a beginner freelancer or business developer or a DIY business Launch online. There is almost every technique and skill building material and discussion here. I also feel almost 95% of the content is delivered by females here, women are more likely to understand it better than by male instructors. Thanks Coursera for such a wonderful opportunity to let us learn and grow more.

The teaching materials are meaty. Examples are adequate. Tutorials are actually related to the online business situation, especially is the Persona preparation. Its greatly helpful for me in preparing my target audiences and also the target products. The clear explanation by Joan DeCollibus, my lecturer, and in addition to her PowerPoint slides that providing me in understanding the key concepts more easily. It is a great chance for me thanks for Coursera and Joan DeCollibys in providing such a valuable course although it is free of charge

The course was really helpful in explaining the basics of building an online business, the worksheets provided were very detailed and easy to use. The course was fast-paced, interesting and not only covered everything about launching a business but also taught methods to maintain that business. I am really happy to have chosen this course as it made me feel a lot more confident about building my online business and the worksheets included will help me at every step of the process and for many more years to come.

It´s a good course that gives you a framework for Launching an Online Business. I had some expectations regarding the Inventory, Logistics, and Chains of Supply, but on the other hand, there is a lot of potential in the Step by Step Process during the plannification and execution of the website, and also regarding the Social Media, Sales Channels and PR. I recommend the course if you have no idea how and where to start.

This is an exceptional course everyone needs regardless of having an existing business. Even if you have a concept in your mind, this short course will put things into perspective for your concept into a full blown business pitch. The lessons are well aligned and linked to one another, the facilitator takes time and uses very relatable content to help you understand the message being portrayed.
