I am currently studying Chemical Engineering. However, after going for industry training as a data analyst, I decided to venture more in this direction and I really learn a lot from this course.

In my opinion this intro is too long, had lots of repetition and is so boring. You don't really need to explain basic concepts like Database Intersections and Joins. If the candidate doesn't have this basic background information then they should acquire it from a lower level course to get ready for a professional certificate like this, and quite honestly it makes me lose confidence in the value of getting this certificate myself. I have 1 year experience as a Data Engineer.

The basic material would be good, but the presentation and quality is poor. No resources added, the IBM service (IBM cloud) you should use for lab assignments needs a credit card, which was no problem for me, but my account got deactivated for no reason, and I would say customer care is non existing at IBM as they don't give you any kind of information. I had the feeling who ever created this material is an expert on its field, but had not much to do with teaching.

Very basic overview of the topic, very little to none hands-on.

I wasn't able to finishe the course, since the most basic thing - account creation on IBM cloud - doesn't work and nobody within the whole IBM corporation seems to be able to help.

There are lots of other people complaining about this. If possible coursera should probably get in touch with IBM directly, because they're ignoring requests from simple developers.

They provide multiple correct answers on final quiz but only 1 answer is correct.

Their bot for shuffling questions and answers is broken. Some questions have nothing to do with the answers.

You should take this course just because it is the most cheapest option on the market.

If you have money, dont buy this course.

I expected so much more from IBM. Auto-generated lessons which evaluate jargon memorization over actual knowledge and understanding. Hands-on is copy-paste. I stuck through the introduction modules thinking it would get better. It didn't.

Giving 1 star because there is no notification before being charged for subscription. I have totally lost interest in completing anymore IBM courses on coursera for this reason. The subscription is not cheap.

The IBM ungraded hands on assignments don't work at all. It's a completely missed opportunity for hands on experience. They should be removed from the course or fixed.

Multiple times the quizzes for this specialization state that the ETL process is not crucial. How do you get this obvious fact wrong so many times ,especially as IBM.
