The course has many errors that haven't been corrected in years, and the forums have zero support from the course staff.

Assignments are very tough.

I am posting a rating of One Star to hopefully draw the attention of anyone responsible for posting the course content.

There are some mistakes inherent in the grading, (i.e. the robotic graders), for both the practice problems and the end-of-chapter quizzes. Multiple learners in the community have noted these and posted such in the discussion forums, yet there has been no response from the Instructors and/or Administration responsible for the MOOC. Also, in having gone often to the discussioon forums where we are promised to encounter the Instructors, I cannot recall having encountered any Instructors for the discussion forums I have visited. Many of the Learners seem to be performing the job of the Instructors.

Also, if I may offer observation. the instructional videos tend to be very brief, and usually give a problem and then jump to the solution without showing some of the work involved to arrive at the answer. Contrary to the lab videos which are quite lenghty, yet spend idle time showing how to physically attach a component to a circuit on a breadboard.

Lack of Problem Practice was the Deal Killer here. If this course were put on the Gong Show, it would get the Gong at Problem 1-1-2. There are only nominal worked problems, examples, or hints. Not everyone can do Calculus in their head. I am reduced to taking the test 4 times to get the right answer without understanding it. The Honor Code is meaningless when to get an answer right, you keep guessing until you get it right. Some of the answers have not been answered in six years. I finally lost interested in this and all of the other Georgia Tech courses, for which I shall de-Register forthwith.

Completely unacceptable that so many quiz questions are broken. This was brought to the attention of the instructors years ago but no fixes have been implemented. It is so frustrating to go around and around on a quiz question you think you are getting wrong, only to finally check the discussion board and see that the auto grader for the quiz has a completely wrong solution. The videos in this class are fine and you'll learn basic circuits, but the broken quizzes and typos are incredibly frustrating.

This course was abandoned shortly after launching. The assignments are full of errors, the lectures are disjoint, and the discussion forums are full of people trying to navigate these issues. This course doesn't come close to the quality that is expected from either Coursera or Georgia Tech.

*UPDATE: I came back to this course after spending 3+ months on a university-quality circuit analysis textbook. This course is not a good way to learn circuit analysis.

Cannot find any reading material that can be read to learn the course material.

The instructor does not go into enough detail to know how she came up with the answer.

It was said in the beginning that you did not have to know about integers or derivatives, they are constantly referred to frequently without an explanation.

I feel this course is over my head, so I wish to unenroll.

Just to warn everyone that aims to do this course:

It's abandoned since the first iteration. It's full of error on autograder and lack some explanation about things that are asked about on quizes (but not to much).

But it has a nice community and almost all errors are pointed on the forums by other students.

It's a relatively good course but there are betters (like on edx).

The course is very disorganized and disjointed. Plenty of mistakes in the lectures, problem videos, practice questions and even in the quizzes. Many mistakes have been pointed out over 3 years ago. Why haven't Coursera or Gatech done anything about it?

I thought that I would take this course to refresh my mechatronics knowledge, but found it much harder to follow than other coursera courses. The large knowledge jumps between lectures and assignments was discouraging and the forums were unhelpful.

The videos are short and no pdfs are supplied. DONOT enroll because there is no UN-enroll. You will lose your money. Which by the way..... PLEASE UN ENROLL ME!

This course is totally unsupported and haphazardly designed. Lots of quiz/practice material is not explained. Save your money or just audit the course.

The answers to quiz problem 4-4-2 is wrong and there is no ongoing support for this class. The videos are painful to watch.

Unsupported, I don't recommend this class for those looking to enter the field or brush up on existing skills.
