they show's it's a free course and after completion of course at the timing of achieving certificate we need to pay for course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This course is worth a shot. You can learn a lot from this course. One of the most useful course in whole Coursera. This is one of the courses on which you can rely on which provides certification as well. A Lot to understand and a lot to gain from this course.

Excellent Course. The basics are covered very well. I would have liked to spend more time on the functions/formulas.

Some advance features are probably too advance for my use of excel but it is good to know they are there.

I'm so grateful for doing this course, it have elucidated a lot of doubts which i had regarding excel ! The language used, during the course, is very clean, everyone can easily understand what to do in the tasks!

In general terms, the course has a vast amount of information for a fundamental level of knowledge therefore, I can say that it fully covers what a beginner in Excel needs to handle for a good performance. Nevertheless, the way of presenting the information MUST improve considerably since there is a lot of information to assimilate in every video, and the practices are insufficient to relate the instructions to the tasks to be carried out.

Also, I found the instructions in the quiz practice hard to follow and most of the time, I managed to finished them because I already knew what I was asked to do, but for someone learning for the first time, I could've been pain in the neck.

One more thing, since Week 2, I couldn't take the quiz practices because they never loaded. That needs to be fixed.

I am aware that this course works as a first contact and the participants must complement their knowledge and practices, but even so, it would be a positive point to work more on the pedagogical part in order to attract more people to take this series of courses.

It's a great intro to excel! I'm not super familiar with it and I was able to keep up, although there were spelling errors here and there that threw me off, I was able to figure most of it out on my own. I still plan to complete the honors assignment so there may be an opportunity for more practice through that, but I felt like this was a little too surface level for what I was looking for. I know general tips and functions of excel but not practical uses for them. It felt like a lot of learning things out of context so I am hopeful I can come up with ways of utilizing these concepts on my own.

It's a solid course introducing many functionalities of excel, but I wish there were more hands-on practical exercises or the practical assignments were a bit longer/comprehensive.

The course was 5 stars, however I did not get the honors certificate. I went to the forum of this course and it looks like it is something common.

the course is good but quite annoying that the efforts to complete the week 5 for the Honors certificate are not rewarded with the Honor badge.

I completed the optional assignment month ago, never received the Honors on my certificate, and reading the messages left from other users seems a common problem.

Instructors are boring, presentation skills are often looking into space and the exercises should be integrated into the video making them easier to navigate.

Students are not getting honor logo on certificates. Microsoft and Coursera support not helpful in fixing this error.

I completed my Honors assignment but haven't received the Honors Certificate.

The course was great overall, and I learned a lot. This has increased my desire to learn more about Excel. I've used Excel in my former workplace and even helped others in management to learn how to do a task or use certain functions. Anyway, towards the end of the course working with external data, in a section for an exercise that called for using external data, the source had changed its location on their website. What does that mean, that means I and other were not able to complete that particular exercise as it was laid out. That being said, I did go to the particular site and navigated to the data source needed but needed to download and work with it from there. It was not available as a table of data on the web that could be linked to update. I tried other means to accomplish that, but just used the data I was able to download. That was not a big deal because I felt I was able to learn something about working with external data and apply a couple of aspects of the exercise anyway. That exercise needs to be reviewed and updated or modified to work correctly and match the exercise objective. Thank you for the opportunity to learn here. Ciao

As I have mentioned a half a dozen times, the more advanced exercises cannot be completed using the free online or downloadable app versions of Excel. In addition, part of the difficulty came from using a Macbook. I went along as best I could but some of it was incredibly frustrating. I do wish I had a windows-based computer fully loaded with Office 365 for taking these classes, as I plan to continue on to Word and PowerPoint.
