Exciting course. I think some contents should be updated but in general an exhaustive overview.

really good course but the final assessment was gruelling

The content of the class was interesting. However many of the resources described do not work properly. Perhaps a greater focus on offline techniques would be better if the Mayaan lab cannot invest the resources to maintain a bunch of servers.

The course is well structured and very condensed (maybe a bit too condensed), the contained theory is well explained. The course contents are strongly biased towards the use of tools developed by the authors of this course. While not inherently bad by itself, authors fail to maintain both the software and the course. The course contents appear to not be updated since 2014, meaning that most of the tools are either no longer available or are no longer maintained. Plenty of 3rd party databases and tools presented in the course also went through multiple updates, making the practical aspects of the course material useless. As a cherry on top: the final exam requires a use of a software that is no longer available (questions 38 and 39) or tool that is no longer maintained and acknowledged by the creators of the course as non-functional (Network2Canvas). While going through discussions with previous students included in the course, it is easy to notice that Authors acknowledged the issues and promised updates years ago, seems nothing have happened. I am disappointed and have to admit, that whatever theory I learned, is still not applicable in any shape or form after completing the course. Frankly, I kindly ask the authors, who remain active in the discussion forums, to take the course down until significant overhaul of its contents are made, so no their people waste significant amounts of time on scavenging the bioinformatics graveyard, that this course has become.

I am totally frustrated. Putting pieces of some youtube video pieces together to make for a class is not the way to go. The presentation is very bland and information content is very diluted. Waste of money and time in my opinion.

Mainly advertisement for a specific lab and all their research. Very little teaching on any theory or even basic understanding of Network Analysis. "Here is how to use this software which we developed ...". Basically every video.
