About the Course

The design step in developing software has some unique characteristics. First of all, it’s the only step where drawing pictures of things is the norm. Why is that? What do pictures do that other representations cannot do? Pictures have varying levels of detail; pictures have context. Pictures…paint a picture. Why are these things important? In this course, too, we begin looking at other disciplines (building architecture is a favorite one) for lessons on design....

Course content is great and well-structured, lectures are great, a very rare find... you had the fundamentals of something really good going here. CopyPaste one or two (often dead) link(s) as reading content for the course modules, however, and the quizzes... has anyone taken even a second look at the quizzes? One of them contained the next module's questions, there are many grammar mistakes, some answers are comedic, and I'll stop there. This could've been great. I'm very disappointed.

Once I completed the course the certificate states "This specialization is for those with limited workplace experience...". I do have years of experience and ashamed to show such a certificate to a prospect employer. This is very discriminating and inappropriate to write this on the certificate, especially that this phrase did not appear in the description of the course or anywhere else. I am still glad that it was not written "This specialization is for those with limited brain function...", so I am happy to give this 1 star rating.
