I was initially skeptical about taking an online course, but this experience has exceeded my expectations. The lessons were well-structured, and the instructor was very responsive and supportive.

This is a very good course. Short, simple buy extremely helpful. I thank the instructor and Coursera for this wonderful course. I recommend this course to my friends and colleagues immediately.

The course is very useful if you plan to use Wordpress as a platform. It explains many concepts very well. I had two problems with the course: namely the course is longer than is advertised (which is both good and bad if you have limited time). Second problem: when I returned to the remote desktop application where the course took place I was not able to log in again (the connection was not established). Also in a few places the course was hard to follow. Other than that it really is a wonderful course and I suggest it to anyone who plans to set up a website.

The menus etc... are old and following is impossible. The template the instructor chose was the perfect template for the project. However, I would not know how to add or eliminate blocks that are side by side. The page was for a blog, however, I would have no idea about using the blog, where the information is stored, if I can, or how to address readers' content or desire to add content. The contact page is great, except that I don't know how to receive information added by the visitors.

I really appreciated the hands-on aspect of this course. WordPress.com is a great environment to build simple websites and Stacey covered the basics capably. The only hesitation I have was with the amount of time used replacing every template image and typing replacement text she dictated, which could have been used to better enhance our understanding of the WordPress.com platform.

Most of the time spent on this course is overwriting the default Wordpress text with new text. This is a waste of time. I did learn how to use Wordpress but the instructor's audio should have been edited to eliminate false starts. There were too many cases where my Wordpress screen didn't match hers and I had to look up how to perform a function.

Expected a proper introduction to WordPress interface. It seemed the intructor was on a rush and she assumes we know it all and just shows the use of the tools. The text description used in the website should also be written somewhere so that students can copy and paste instead of spending 2-3 minutes in just typing the same thing repeatedly.

I gave it three stars because it would not let me set a free Wordpress-site via SoundCloud's interface.
tools. I have a wordpress frr-blog via wordpress CMS But the menu and interface does match so I cant follow along with the course. Sorry. Trying close out effort now. Like the course though.

I found the technology a bit frustrating at times. Perhaps because I am using a Mac. More than once I lost the audio; my screen did not always appear as on the video, etc. Overall, I enjoyed the process but will probably explore more online videos as I develop my own site.
Thanks

I was not able to follow using the Wordpress. Coz I needed to pay on something I do not understand yet. I am afraid as well to pay online using my account, There were times, I am being scammed and my details are being used by others. Thanks.

First star for very slow pace of instructor and the second one for not including seo or other important plugins in this course. It was for building a blog not an optimized ecommerce site.

The rhyme tool kept prompting "session ended" even though I had just enrolled in the course at that time. I had to reopen the tool many times in order for it to display the content.

Sometimes it was description of action without explanation of the aim of this action. Often mistyping. Sometimes uncertain use of WP site menus / tools.

Disappointing. I lost access to the Cloud Project when I was just halfway into the course. Then I lost access to the course. It just stopped on me.

Hard to follow the project precisely as WordPress functionality has changed since this course was created. Otherwise could be good.

The content seems good but does not correspond to wordpress' current platform; it's difficult to follow along because of this.

Too much unnecessary Text/Image replacement. No focus on custom aspects.
This course does not belong in 'Advanced'.

A bit confusing and frustrating from the start as the video predates the current layout of the Wordpress dashboard.

Very basic even for beginners. Would expect more insights, like special plugins for blogs and SEO enhancement.

Learning videos are done on old version of Wordpress. Video is based on already crated pages.

The dual-screen is somehow confusing, I prefer watching it on the usual Coursera video player.
