About the Course

The goal of this third course in the Project Management Specialization examines the philosophy and process of managing projects using Agile project management. Students in this course will learn the Agile philosophy and process including the Scrum framework, sprints, and user stories. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to distinguish between predictive and agile project management methodologies and understand the benefits of delivering value early in an engineering project. This course can be taken for academic credit as part of CU Boulder’s Master of Engineering in Engineering Management (ME-EM) degree offered on the Coursera platform. The ME-EM is designed to help engineers, scientists, and technical professionals move into leadership and management roles in the engineering and technical sectors. With performance-based admissions and no application process, the ME-EM is ideal for individuals with a broad range of undergraduate education and/or professional experience. Learn more about the ME-EM program at https://www.coursera.org/degrees/me-engineering-management-boulder. I really enjoyed this course as it introduced me to new concepts, reinforced existing concepts, but above it was enjoyable to follow. Very focused and precise in its analyses

Highly recommended

It was a very good informative course. I had zero knowledge about project management before taking this course, but right now after completing it I can boldly say that I am a project manager.

Ok for fundamentals, but not a lot of depth. Presented lots of other people work and very little original thought or content. On top of that, presenter seemed unprepared, stumbling many times during the presentation. There were typos on the slides and dead links. Lots (too many) of YouTube videos linked to, some with awful closed captioning. Lots of links to articles written by others that you were to read, but no critical discussion from presenter on the content. Did I get something out of it? Yes. But I just signed up for Coursera Plus and expected much, much more. Disappointed in this one. Off to take another.

The audio and video quality is poor. The professor filmed at home with her dog. Not very professional. Most of the content is not from the professor but is found off-site in articles and videos on YouTube.

While I think it covers the important stuff, this is not a coherent course. It is a mostly a set of links to blogs and sales pitches from Agile promotor's.
