I truly loved learning about python code and the programming concept. It was a refreshing experience as I had already had a base in C and C++. But joined this course to learn python. But python is a simple code that it reduces the complexity faced in other languages.

Super great beginner course for Python. The lectures are easy to understand and follow. The assignments stick closely to what were talked about during the lectures. Besides, I pretty like the 'Bonus chapters' of interviews and office hours at the end of each chapter.

This is a really great class, you must be sure to follow along in the free book, don't just do the graded assignments, there are assignments in the book as well that will allow you to hone your skills.

Don't worry the book is free to download. I have mine on my ipad.

Excellent! Easy language for non-programmers as me. I'm thrilled as I am keen on programming. And this course is just perfect to me. And the way they are 'spreading knowlodge' is fantastic. They make sure to give you all information and access that you need to do it.

I strongly recommend this course to anyone, who wants to get into Python programming. The pace is slow enough even for people with moderate logical thinking. Everything is really simplified and well explained, and the support to questions in the forum is very good.

This was the most enjoyable and frustrating online course I have taken. The tasks provided and tips were helpful all the way through, although all the syntax errors during my studying often made my hair stand up. All in all, a very well put together course.

Great! I had no trouble coming in blind to the subject. Would highly recommend this course to anyone that would like to learn regardless of their background. All recourses are provided and instructions are clear enough to follow regardless of prior Python knowledge.

It is very informative and well designed course. I had a bit of previous experience with Python and some of the stuff they teach was not new for me. However what this course helped me was that I mastered the "while" and "for" loops which is the next level of coding.

Truly inspiring and very friendly for a novice. This course helped me grasp some basic ideas about computer and programming. Dr. Chuck as instructor is brilliant, humorous and I enjoyed the learing experience. I would like to continue with the Python Data Structure.

It's a great experience to learn a new language python with hand-on experience. The quizzes and assignments are amazing. While preparing a solution to the assignment I learn the python in more depth.

Excellent course! Lectures are concise and easy to understand. The course exercises are not difficult but challenging enough to require you to think through the problem. The Professor is knowledgable and conveys concepts very well. I am very glad I took this course.

Loved the course: it gives the very basics of Python in an easy and understandable way, and Chuck Severance has got an amazing personality, which adds a lot to the course. The estimated completion time is definitely overestimated: you need a week max to complete it.

This course was great it teaches you the fundamentals of programming and take's it step by step. The professor even takes the time to show you the basics of how to save a file and why its so important to have this knowledge. Thank you so much professor and Coursera.

Very good introduction to computer programming and python. The concepts have been presented gradually and also it has been made a connection between the program and the hardware running the program. I also liked very much the bonus videos at the end of each chapter.

I couldn't have asked for any other better professor than Dr. Chuck for this. Very calm and composed professor, does not rush with the things no matter how obvious or basic they might be he explains it with utmost interest and concern. Best course for a beginner !

I knew nothing about Python before taking this class. Now I feel like I can code anything!! And the instructor wasn't just reading notes off a paper. He was genuine and engaging and made it feel like an in person class. (And I love that he referenced Harry Potter!)
