I am a complete bookkeeping beginner, and I found myself googling quite a lot throughout the course. They definitely need to go into more detail with certain topics and give more practice questions.. At one point they said "this is a difficult concept that still trips up senior accountants, the more you do, the easier it will become" and then they didn't provide any practice questions lol. The guided activities either seemed to not work correctly, or legit spoon-fed me the answers. So when it came time for the case study and I had to do everything 100% on my own, I was a little stressed. Also, Bianca got on my nerves by the end.

Edit: I am now 2 weeks into Course 2 and I 110% DO NOT recommend if you are planning to complete all 4 courses. So far course 2 has many mistakes which makes me question if the information I have been taught is even correct. I will finish Course 2 because I paid (waste of money IMO) and I will not complete Course 3 & 4 like I had originally intended.

I subscribed in the hopes of learning bookkeping skills. I was informed that I would be charged 50 dollars if I wanted to continue my subscription after a week. I completed the 4 modules in 3 days, but when it was time to take the certification exam, the pearson website asked for 150 dollars

Intuit requires 5 years of bookkeeping experience to hire someone after they get this certification. This course would be a waste of time and money, since I do not have 5 years of bookkeepin experience to work for Intuit.

Great class but i do have one small gripe. Please dont switch the placement of the True and False buttons. Keep them in the same spot on all the quizes. I accidentally missed answers because the true and false buttons were consisitently flipped. Other than that the cass had great subject matter and was easy to comprehend.

I cannot believe in 5 days, I was able to learn such valuable skills. I went from knowing nothing about bookkeeping to very confident. The lessons are very interesting too. It just keeps you coming back. I am so excited and cannot wait to start working in the field.

Great course, excellent overview of the basics of bookkeeping along with some great exercises to help prove that the knowledge is there - particularly those details of debits and credits and how transactions move through the income statement and balance sheet.

Excellent information! All of the information was easy to understand and follow. I loved how the program was laid out and the information included. Very comprehensive for basic information.

This is a really great course! It helps you to learn more about the basics of accounting, its principles and assumptions. And it provides an easier viewpoint about the methodologies.

The course was well presented and also challenging one to think through the concepts. Highly recommendable, indeed.

The content is good and the animated instructor is easy to listen to and understand. There was many tecnical issues. The first few "You try It" exercises would end with the text "this completes the exercise", subsequent would not, and there were exersices that had a coninute button that didnt work, leaving me only to mark as complete even though I didn't know if the exercise was completed. There is no course intructor to contact about issues! This course counts on community discussion of any questions, meaning you most likely will not get help if you need it. With the questions for week four exam, it did help to go search the forum for answers. (also, remember google is your friend) Though it is a fairly easy and straight forward course. I enyojed it, and will continue with Coursera for the professional Certificate.

I love the videos and the simulations. This is a very comprehensive learning program with real life application. It's fun and interesting as well as very educational. I would like to review the course materials from time to time as a refresher. The only issue I had was that sometiimes the Quizzes do not accept a variety of different number formats, so I would be counted as wrong answers even when my answer was correct.

I wish there were some hands-on activities as well as access to QuickBooks so that we can play around with it. Some plugins still have the continue button even though that's the end of that plugin, it's better that it says that that's the end of the plugin, which some plugins did. Some instructions also wasn't clear and it can be a little bit confusing at times. Overall, a great course! Thank you for this

I thought this course gave foundational idea of being a Bookkeeper. I have two suggestions. First, include more hands-on, workbook-style activities. Second, have the Case Studies answer key available to be able to double check after, so one can see if they have correctly filled out the ledger.

It was very informative, and I enjoyed demonstrating my skills by using the interactive simulations. The Bookkeeping Case Study was a bit difficult because the spreadsheet was not formatted properly. I scored a 90 on the final exam, but I am quite sure the answer I got wrong was correct.

dollar sign and commas are required to pass test/quizzes. This sould be included in instructions. Most of use are use to the quickbooks software enterinf automatically

Great so far! Information could have been presented in a better way but still great overall.
