This course helped me get comfortable working with command line basics, combined with Git/Github. There were few errors in labs or test but nothing that really detracted from the overall quality.

The videos are clear, with some good examples. The topics are not covered in depth. Often terms are just said once in a video, and never given an explanation or source to understand. None of the labs where working, since links to materials send you to 404-error pages. Several of the quiz questions during videos and standalone quizzes are just blatantly wrong. (Seems like a Coursera problem, were wrong options have been selected as wrong/right). In som graded assessments, new terms are shown for the very first time, with absolutely no references in the course materials. All in all a bit disappointed, since this is made by Meta Staff. Simple changes could make this a 4/5 course. But it seems like the course has been abandoned by its creators — as the issues have been complained about in the official forums for more than 6 months without any actions from the creators or Coursera.

Learning about git and git hub is amazing, I loved learning about the command line. Unfortunately, there are a lot of links that are expired. for example, the link to forking Reop is expired and does not open. the instructor uses docker to run the command line but they never tell us that. I was using Bash. Please update some videos. Git hub has been updated a lot, the videos show up old git hub material Over all loved the course! I would rate it 5/5 but there are too many expired links and old material . please update the material. I high recommend taking this course don't shy away from it.

The info itself is good but man this is by far the worst course in the front-end dev program so far, the instructions seemed to be missing entire sections, some quiz answers were not working correctly, and critical links often led to 404s. The course genuinely feels like it was slapped together with no double checks or forethought. That being said I still learned a lot and when I just googled how to do some things and got past broken links it was quite enjoyable.

I was really disappointed in this course. It had many broken links, inaccurate test answers, rarely clarified mac/windows differences, and overall felt really rushed.

This course was way too long, which isn't representative of how important it is to the specialty (Back End Development). It also didn't present enough opportunities for practice on your own device.

There are some labs in this course that cannot be completed as written because the referenced repository does not exist and a general lack of context for the purpose of what you're learning, but if you want something that will walk you through some common unix and git command line actions, the videos and readings do that reasonably well.

poorly maintained resources with 404 errors on some of the links in the labs. Come on. I imagine that this was created several years ago. The JavaScript course also has the problem with being outdated. The stuff works, but it's old versions of the JS standards. Needs badly to be updated.

Meta suggests to use the command line in VS Code instead of the desktop version of github with a GUI , why? I noticed the GUI software at the end in the capstone project. Using it is much more convenient. You also don't need to configure any security details or the like.
