About the Course

This is the third course in the Google Project Management Certificate program. This course will explore how to map out a project in the second phase of the project life cycle: the project planning phase. You will examine the key components of a project plan, how to make accurate time estimates, and how to set milestones. Next, you will learn how to build and manage a budget and how the procurement processes work. Then, you will discover tools that can help you identify and manage different types of risk and how to use a risk management plan to communicate and resolve risks. Finally, you will explore how to draft and manage a communication plan and how to organize project documentation. Current Google project managers will continue to instruct and provide you with hands-on approaches for accomplishing these tasks while showing you the best project management tools and resources for the job at hand. Learners who complete this program should be equipped to apply for introductory-level jobs as project managers. No previous experience is necessary. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Describe the components of the project planning phase and their significance. - Explain why milestones are important and how to set them. - Make accurate time estimates and describe techniques for acquiring them from team members. - Identify tools and best practices to build a project plan and risk management plan. - Describe how to estimate, track, and maintain a budget. - Explain the procurement process and identify key procurement documentation. - Draft a communication plan and explain how to manage it. - Explain why milestones are important and how to set them. - Explain why a project plan is necessary and what components it contains. - Make accurate time estimates and describe techniques for acquiring them from team members....

1. 1-5 courses where is mostly water - you have to squeeze it very well to identify a piece of meaningful information. Very diluted, like women soap romance book. 2. No quality control. No real teachers are available in this course - considering it as a shame! I never heard that students are forced to grade each other in any reputable educational institution! That annihilate any educational purpose. Where has this been seen in any reputable educational institution? You can only imagine the content of those tests! There are mostly "Help me through" with no tests at all. Some people simply copy the given material and present it for "peer grading", hope that other people will give them "pass". And they will succeed. Shame, nowhere only here, in Coursera you can observe this pattern. 3. Certificate. Guess what, you have to jeopardize and put your identity in danger by providing your complete identity info to some Persona and let this Persona to use all your personal info for 3 years at their full discretion! It's maybe sold, stolen hacked etc. All those risks for what? For getting some certificate from organization with a dubious reputation where is no teachers and students are generously grading each other? Coursera should be upfront about that condition and about all those non-functioning trimmed educational system. Conclusion: Coursera and all companies presented here by Coursera don't really care about education quality and quality personnel, so the purpose is simply clipping monthly money. Sad. It's very sad only.

I've been waiting 15+ days to have an assignment peer reviewed which is preventing my completion of this course. Support has been manifestly unhelpful and insists that I either need to hunt down my own reviewer on the forums or take a minimum passing grade on the assignment. I've been trying the first but I work for a living and don't have time to do Coursera's work for them full-time. Still haven't taken the mandatory penalty on my work just because Coursera can't match me with a grader within the 7-14 day period. Was told by support that I should wait an additional 10 days past deadline for reviews (see up to 24 days). Otherwise a useful course. I'm just sad I can't get credit for my work in it.

Videos were too long and redundant and popup questions were usually at the end, which is ineffective. I liked how other instructors would add notes for key takeaways next to the videos but this instructor didnt provide those. I, like many others, dread the peer review system because so many students just submit plagiarized work, or give you 0s for no reason and then you cant even report them. So some other person got credit for reviewing work, but ruined your assignment by doing so. Messed up

The course is wonderful. I am enjoying it a lot.

However, I am not happy with the peer graded assignments. My assignment on Gantt Chart was 100% correct. However, I have received a failing score. How can I check which question went wrong? or Is there any way to challenge the reviewer? Is there any penalty on the reviewer if he/she gives incorrect marks?

Pls look into this. Thank You

I have had finished my course on 25/10/2021, and I didn't receive my degree license yet. The system keeps telling me that my course is overdue, but all the materials had been applied already. Therefore, I am confused about this situation and I am afraid of paying for the course once more and more. Is there anyone who could help me to clarify this situation and solve it?

I appreciate the effort put into providing learning resources, but I believe the current approach could be more varied and varied. I suggest focusing on more practical and dynamic learning methods rather than extensive video content and basic templates. This way, the learning experience can be more engaging and efficient. Thank you for considering this feedback.

Several questions in the quizzes were not covered in the course. Furthermore, the definition of the HR specialist and HR manager is not clear. In some parts of the course, the HR specialist had a higher position than the HR manager.

Very confusing course. On top of that, the last section was dedicated to how to build a resume. Why???

The materials are good knowledge but its hard to have others peer review assignments who dont follow directions and grade assignments incorrectly. Its also extremely difficult to get any help on this matter.

VERY Basic. I was hoping to get helpful tips/insights from Googlers about how they go about their projects in real life. This course is very basic.
