I do like the cloud workspace and writing the code along with the instructor however the chromedriver.exe that is on the workspace does not match the version of chrome being used so it will not execute the tests the same way as the instructor is. It will fail if there is not a newer chromedriver.exe installed to match the chrome browser version.

About environment (not really related to this course but have affected on my ability to learn): - There is no chromedriver on Linux VM, you have to download it manually and for specific version (127, not latest) - When you close the tab with VM or Internet connection is lost, page reload "resets" VM and all your downloads are gone and you have to download chromedriver again. - Hot keys doesn't work (instructor in videos uses hot keys) About course content: - Not all tests have an assertion (what's the point of automation tests without assertion?) - Only examples of linkText, name and xpath were shown - Tests weren't independent (for example, first test checks login, second - create user. Tests run in this order and if login failed, second test will be failed also, but in reality create user test wasn't even run)

Overall the course was good for beginners with some knowledge on the selenium knowledge. Would have been better if there was more explanation done on the TestNG priority settings of the methods and how they can be avoided to get looped execution. Good explanation on finding xPath for the webelements.

User working window had poor resolution.

The google chrome driver in the exercises needs to be updated, it throws errors and the tests get skipped. The content of the course is good.

BUYER BEWARE! The software installed is out of date and does not work!!! I unfortunately spent a long time trying to figure out why chrome wouldn't work with the first project. It turns out there is a bug in the cloud workspace browser. I just checked the forum and other people are experiencing the bug, as recent as 17 days ago. It's still broken. I needed to get help from an experienced person in the field to help me through it, and they told me it was the cloud workspace's software. Much of my time had been wasted on this bug that I thought were my errors, and I paid coursera 10 dollars for a broken project just for them to lock me out of my Cloud Workspace. I can't even access the cloud workspace anymore.
