About the Course

Assess for Success: Marketing Analytics and Measurement is the fifth of seven courses in the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate. This course explores marketing analytics practices and tools. Digital marketing and e-commerce professionals are expected to analyze data from various sources (such as web pages, digital marketing channels, and e-commerce sites) and use them to gain customer insights. You’ll create media plans and set performance goals. You’ll learn how to measure, manage, and analyze data from marketing campaigns using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and similar tools. Then, learn how to adjust a marketing budget according to insights extracted from key metrics. You’ll use A/B test results to optimize a campaign and identify metrics that define a campaign's success. You will be able to analyze and visualize data and insights in spreadsheets and prepare presentations to share campaign progress or results with stakeholders. Google employees who currently work in the field will guide you, providing hands-on activities and examples that simulate common digital marketing and e-commerce tasks, while showing you some of the best tools and resources used on the job. Learners who complete the seven courses in this program will be equipped to apply for entry-level jobs in digital marketing and e-commerce. No previous experience is necessary. By the end of this course, you will be able to do the following: - Plan and allocate the spending of marketing budgets - Describe the unique role of performance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) in marketing campaigns - Describe how tools like Google Analytics and Google Ads are used to measure website and ad campaign performance - Describe how to determine the return on investment (ROI) or return on ad spend (ROAS) of a marketing project - Prepare, conduct, and analyze the results from an A/B test to optimize a marketing campaign - Apply spreadsheet features like sorting, filtering, and pivot tables to prepare data to be shared - Create charts in spreadsheets for visualization of metrics...

This course builds a great foundation of marketing analytics. The first and second week's material allows you to learn the more intermediate aspects of performance marketing measurement (weeks 3 & 4)

This course needs a bit of an update to match the changes made to Google Analytics because Google has changed several feature locations and titles within Google Analytics. I was able to figure it out, but someone who is not familiar with how computer programs work and change would find it quite daunting. One assignment could not be completed properly because I could only got back to metrics within the Demo account to January of 2022, and the assignment called for a campaign done in 2021. Also, many of the transcripts had errors. At the end of most of the videos there was a glitch in which it would skip the last ten to thirty seconds of the videos automatically. I was listening to them in order to check my notes of the transcript against what the instructor actually said and that glitch was a bit annoying. The glitches and outdated content did allow me to learn more on my feet, so I am grateful for the opportunity, but seeing as how this course is probably one of the ones people would be least familiar with, it could use a quality and accuracy check.

I'm happy to enroll fir this course and more happy to complete the most important papart Of course which is analytics. The mentor explained the concepts in best way possible.possible.Activities helped me alot to better understand every part of analytics and measurement.

ALL WAS GOOD EXECPT I HAD TO REPORT ISSUES FOR ATLEAST 6-7 TIMES IN ENTIRE COURSE DURATION.

PLEASE IMCLUDE MORE ANIMATIONS ,VISUALS AND INFOGRAOHICS. BECAUSE THAT MAKES THE VIDEO EASEASY TO UNDERSTAND. VIDEO WENT TOO FAST .HAD TO WATCH IT REPEAT FOR 5 TIMES IN A ROW TO GAIN CLARITY. TOOK ME TOO LONG TO COMPLETE . PLEASE MAKE INTERACTIINTERACTIVE VIDEOS BY INCLUDING VISUALS SO THAT LEARNING COULD BE FUN WHICH ACTUALLY WAS IN PREVIOUS COURSE LIKE COURSE 1 COURSE 2 COURSE 4. PLEASE DONT OVERWHELM WITH SO LARGE READING PART. THERE ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY TWO READING PART AND ALSO VIDEO PART NOT ABLE TO GRASP WHICH MAKES IT FRUSTRATING.

PLEASE SOLVE THE ABOVE ISSUES FOR NEXT TWO COURSECOURSES.

Hi,

Every course has been adding one or the other skill to my profile or i have upskilled from my offline experience.

However, every course has created the curiosity in my learning from the day one. No doubt this course will help the next gen, domain changers (me included), creating another stream with present stream of job etc.

I am really thankful to the entire "Coursera" team & "Google" for coming up with such an amazing learning platform.

Last but not least, Mr Michael too has delivered the best of his knowledge in this course just like everyone from the course 1-4 so far.

See you in the next course :)

By far the hardest one of them all! But I learned a lot of things, especially on making presentations, using spreadsheets, Google Ads, and Google Analytics, and now I know that I have two other certifications to pursue after this! :) I enjoyed the practice skills, and he gave some great examples. Overall, the course was good, with great insights! Those who say that the tutor is boring, the course is quite technical. Math wasn't particularly the most "exciting" subject in school. However, the tutor can still improve by slowing down a bit.

Too much synthetic: probably some difficult topics needed more explanation and more detail. Surely the most complicated course so far, but for this reason, it should be presented with less haste. I have the impression that too many topics have been summarized, and compressed, into a single four-week course.

Maybe an extra couple of weeks would have been needed? Or two separate courses, one for analysis and one for data visualization?

Anyway, thanks, I'm discovering a new world.

Great course! A lot of the teachings were more basic (e.g., pivot tables, sorting and filtering spreadsheets), but it provided a good foundational overview of key marketing metrics, automation tools, A/B testing and stakeholder management. All of these skills are always good practice, regardless of tenure.

Was def the hardest so far and I like data. I would like if these were set more as Modules that could be interacted with rather than supplying a word doc and then having data in one tab, and the test in another. just a lot of clicking back and forth. Def recommend setting the videos to 1.5x speed.

While the info from the videos was really clear, the activities sometimes had really complex and confusing directions. I highly recommend running it by some non-analysts to make it more clear. It also gets really dense with info partway through. Other than that, I feel like I learned a lot.

The content was super cool, but the instructor was a newscaster. He just kept on speaking and speaking and speaking. He was not interactive to screen, at all. Just like reading from a teleprompter at the speed of 1.5x. That is the reason, I hit 04 stars.

It was good. But it would have been better if an in-depth overview of analytics through python, excel were included, so that students who were interested in building a career marketing analytics, could have get an instruction in future learning.

The course is very relevant to achieving the goals of the digital marketer. If he is not able to measure and analyze the data of the marketing campaign, then the ability to take informed decisions will be negatively affected.
