The course information was set out clearly, with readings, videos, and charts. It gives one the opportunity to re-read and re-watch the material if needed, and short quizzes test to see how well one absorbed the material. Dr. Gurley explained everything in a clear and pleasant way. Altogether, it was a well-presented course to help understand COVID-19, Contact Tracing, and the role of public health workers.

This was an excellent course for overall knowledge regarding Covid-19, but also how to be an effective communicator with cases and contacts. I learned so much and feel I have the skills to work as a Contact Tracer. I have an extensive background in home health care and marketing where communication was always key , but this learning module brought clarity to what is important when working for the public good.

I really enjoyed this course. As both a teacher and a student, I thoroughly enjoyed the style and content of this class. The videos were clear, well-organized and practical. The assessments helped consolidate the material learned in each module. Very useful content for all aspects of contract tracing. It covered the technical and people aspects quite well. Not too much or too little.

This course provides a great overview of the history and need for contact tracing, and some great tips and examples of potential roadblocks that one might face when doing the job. It is accessible, clearly stated, and easy to follow with a natural progression through the course. My objective was to learn more about this possible career choice, and I now look forward to working in this aspect of public health.

It was an amazing and very educative course towards contact tracing in times of pandemic. This is a very good course!

There were times when I felt like I was struggling, but I really wasn’t. My past profession had been dealing with sensitive confidential information with the US Navy so I can understand much of what this course is about and trying to deal with people that can be very difficult. I would recommend this course to Anyone looking to be come a contact tracer or any other type of tracer.

Good course with very good tutorials. My suggestion, would recommend a short tutorial prior to starting course explaining (1) how to stop during course, saving spot in course, and returning later to continue the course, (2) explain the use of the buttons ("share", "download", etc) under each video. Also, advise if we can go back to look at "notes" that were saved after completion of the course. Thank you.

Taking the COVID-19 Contact Tracing online for the first time was a very positive experience for me. The instructor was very knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information about the SARS-CoV-2 virus. I will definitely be interested in taking other classes because of this experience, I will like to thank Emily S. Gurley and Coursera for giving anyone the chance to educate us about today's pandemic.

It was an honor to be part of this online training. This was an awesome acquisition of knowledge. The instructor is very eloquent/clear. Learners are allowed to rewind and listen multiple times just in case you miss a point. The modules also allow multiple attempts which is a good thing. I am now more confident of taking care of myself, my family, friends and the entire society to stop spread of COVID-19.

It's really nice to have a course from John Hopkins University. I learned a basic concept of contact tracing even in the daily practice it might be little bit different with my local guidance. I hope when I volunteered in my home country I could you this experience to enhance my capability in doing contact tracing. This course was very informative and I learned a lot. I want to revisit one of the areas I had a weakness in, and the training clearly breaks it down so that I could see which area I needed to repeat and persist until I learned it! Each case presented in the interviews were unique, and plausible human behavior and reactions. Thank you for helping us learn with all these great videos and review methods.

Absolutely excellent ! I am a contact tracer based in the UK. Apart from some small differences in timings, protocols etc., this course was really relevant. I found this course really useful and enjoyable. I really liked the videos of examples of the role of the contact tracer with the case and contact. Useful to show not so good examples of contact tracing too.

Lucid instructions with real-world examples of how to navigate the world of contact tracing - this course has been immensely helpful. The instructor and all others involved have made this course educational and easy to understand concerning how healthcare workers are dealing with the COVID-19 health crisis and the issues that arise with keeping the spread of disease in check. I would 100% recommend this.

This was a really interesting course on the history of viruses and how COVID-19 spreads and most importantly how to stop the spread. I gained a lot of valuable information on active listening and responding emphatically to a person in duress. The instructor was very thorough and used repetition to help reinforce the concepts. Glad I took it. I hope it enhances my application for a contact tracer position.

Gives a very thorough overview of COVID-19. Would be great for individuals with little understanding of the virus. The portion that explains the importance of rapport and how to develop it can be really beneficial for someone who has little experience working with people. I would have liked more of the focus to be on the contact tracing part itself. Overall it was a good training and I would recommend it!

Great course and detailed information on COVID-19 and how to effectively, efficiently and humanely assist individuals who have contracted COVID-19 and any contacts exposed to the virus. The material was presented clearly, concisely without hard-to-understand jargon. I especially enjoyed the real-world examples and scenarios, as well as the sample interviews for Contact Tracers. Would highly recommend!

This was a great course, very informative and well put together. I loved that it focused on various aspects such as cultural competency, common issues/possible solutions, and being in tune with an individual's emotions and navigating that through effective communication. Clear,Concise, and insightful. Facts are facts and they are presented in a clear easy to understand manner by the esteemed epidimiologist Dr. Emily Gurley. But what was more interesting to myself was the psychological insights needed to support those with Covid 19 diagnosis and those contacts that were exposed to the disease as well. Contact Tracing will make the difference in saving countless lives.

This is a great basic course to educate the public and new contact tracers with all info necessary to be prepared and knowledgeable on how to prevent the transmission and spread of disease, monitor symptoms, as well as educate new contact tracers on their role in assisting and helping the public in CoV 2 recovery recuperation.
