This course provided education in many areas necessary to perform effectively as a contact tracer. Included was factual information about the virus and how it is spread, the importance of identifying contacts, and the necessity of isolation and quarantine. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the discussion of communication skills, including rapport, active listening and formation of questions.

I was able to use this certificate in landing a job. I have been inactive with my profession for quite a long time. This type of free online course really helped me to continuously update my knowledge eventhough I'm not practicing my profession. I really appreciate your site in providing people like me to gain access with free courses and lessons so as we could learn and gain more knowledge.

This course is very insightful. You learn a lot about Covid-19 and in general how health agencies deal with controlling contagious diseases worldwide. It also focuses on how being a contact tracer is a key element and building rapport with the community assist in slowing the spreading the disease. Not too sciencey for those folks who dislike science information. I love the knowledge. Thank you.

The course exposes the Contact Tracing approach during a pandemic outbreak. This is important to educate the society about the procedures and also the ethical approaches needed to make the contact tracing successful. This is also important in order for the society to provide cooperation to ease the complexities in contact tracing. However, several information should be updated from time to time.

currently I'm working as a contact tracing to try reduce infection in my society , course provided me useful tips to do my role in professional way. give you general idea about corona virus and what's symptoms, what's plans to stop transmission of virus.

Hope any one without medical back ground and working in health care sector take that course and get benefits from information in that course .

While this course was the perfect example of online learning, it helped me to truly understand the seriousness of SARS-Covid 2. The course was slightly difficult because of calculations, and sound medical knowledge required to be distributed to contacts. The discussions were provided for those who need to know this particular exchange of knowledge regarding COVID. I appreciated the information.

Excellent course what i learned about SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19). The source of virus, understanding how coronavirus spreads, who are the high risk persons, and how to compute quarantine, isolate period and ethics. This course is strengthen my abilities to help many people to protect from Covid-19 when they come in contact. Many Congratulations to Emily Gurley, PhD, MPH and Johns Hopkins University.

This course is highly informative, and presents the information in clear terms that are easy to understand. I only wish the discussion forums had been opened or were easier to use/understand, as well as making contact with the lecturer. Overall, I would recommend this course to people interested in becoming contact tracers, as well as to those who want to know more about how Sars-COV-2 spreads.

However, the female interviewer seemed to have a better setup than the male. She looked more like a contact tracer than he did - her voice sounded better and her background looked more like a place you’d be calling from.

And, maybe both could have been used as examples of poor communication rather than just him?

My outlook on Contact Tracing has been altered. Contact Tracing is not easy but somebody has to do it for the public good. My hats off to those who articulated all these best practices. One point in a question. The course did not make mention of a machine that takes a person's temperature at night, but it would be helpful. Taking it at 8:00pm and 6:00 am would give you two reasons. So it would be useful.

Very helpful and clear. Example videos were great! I have been following Covid-19 information regularly, so there was not anything particularly new that I did not already know, but the parts on communication - establishing report and quality communication with the contact or case, so that they want to provide detailed information and follow quarantine or isolation protocols was very helpful.

I really enjoyed this course! It was very detailed, easy to follow, to complete and comprehend. The information was presented very effectively and provided a view of all basic aspects of Contract Tracing. The video presentations were very engaging and informative. They gave an additional layer of understanding to the actual work of the contact tracer and the communication skills required.

It was exciting going thru the process of learning how to Contact Trace. The videoes and examples were very useful. Although the work took long to take notes and process the information. It was broken down in terms easily understood with valid examples to follow. However this course is set for 1 week completion when it should be set for 2 due to people working on other modules thru Course at.

The course was so essential that it expounded my learnings about COVID-19 and likewise how to deal with concern individuals. With this training, it would be a great contributing factor on not to spread the virus and help the whole community to fight this recent pandemic situation. The course is well structured with small tests after each section, moreover, there is concise examples of conversations between Cantacy tracer and the cases, I found that one of the most valuable part of the Course.

This was an excellent course that was well paced, very informative and gave a clear understanding of what contact tracing is about. It gives some excellent examples of how to, and how NOT to handle problems, talk with cases or contacts. I quiz after each section gives you immediate feedback on your understanding of the topic. I was very favorably impressed by this course and its thoroughness.

It is an amazing tool for training about COVID-19 and contact tracing. The lecturer was really an expert on her field and was able to explain everything in fine details about COVID-19 and how to do contact tracing. It was presented in a manner that can be well understood by everybody. I highly recommend this training tool for any person who is about to engage in contact tracing for COVID-19!
