The course material is interesting, thorough, challenging, comprehensive, and well-organized. Dr. Emily Gurley, Associate Scientist, Department of Epidemiology, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, did an excellent job presenting the material. She is engaging, knowledgeable, and conveys the importance of implementing contact tracing for COVID-19.

This course was packed full of information that was easy to understand and to relate too. There was nothing difficult about the context, information, time it took to complete the modules or my ability to completely engage in the scenarios. I totally am grateful for the opportunity to learn all that is available to this point about COVID-19. Thank you again!

The only thing I didn't hear about with recommendations for communicating with contacts/cases is what to say, if anything, if you get their voicemail. Do you leave a message? Keep trying until they answer?

The short course may be short but it is filled with knowledges that are essential in navigating the public health arena. The nature of COVID and its corresponding health implications are clearly discussed. Adding to this, the knowledge regarding the importance of ethics and effective communication in contact tracing could also be applied to many other fields.

Very helpful in understanding more about covid as well as the process and issues involved in contact tracing. It truly underscores the importance of contact tracing to mitigate the spread of this disease. I think many people involved in making decisions about re-opening and other major decisions related to the pandemic could greatly benefit from this course.

This course was a great way for me to learn more about COVID-19 and how contact tracing can help out society. This was my first course through Coursera, but I learned a lot in this course and highly recommend it. I came into the course knowing the general ideas about COVID-19; now I feel much more confident in my knowledge about it and ability to help others.

This was an excellent course for beginning the whole understanding of Covid 19 and how to help care for people who have gotten it and point them in the right direction for resources. very well organized. The course was broken up into small parts with small exams at the end of each section. The instructor spoke calmly and was easy to understand. This is my third Coronavirus course but the best one ever. They were honest about the obstacles in communication and gave concrete tips and ways to communicate bad news effectively. Well done!!!!!

This was a good course. I am an alternative health care provider (for the last 20 yrs) with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture. The pandemic has greatly impacted my practice. I took this course to possibly supplement my income and to find out more about Contact Tracing. It was well worth the time spent. Lots of great information and I recommend it highly.

Excellent Course (although I want to work in the UK as a Covid Contact Tracer and I think the course qualifies me to work in New York(!). It would be great to have a bit more understanding of the cultural complexities around the level of collaboration needed and how we could facilitate better quality information feeding into the frameworks we will be using.

I found this course very interesting! Contact tracing isn't an established resource in my country and knowing this information, as a medical student currently making rotations at one of our public hospitals, makes me feel more confident with helping patients in order to decrease the number of cases and contacts. I took this course as part of the initial training for a job in contact tracing. I found the material to be very detailed and thorough in providing a broad understanding of the virus as we know of today (October 2020) and how a person working in contact tracing is supposed to do the job effectively to try and reduce the spread of a disease in a population.

The course material and clarity of each section was very easy to understand. The course was setup in a very simple way and was very straightforward. I learned a great deal of valuable information from this course and I would recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn more about the disease and preventative methods. I would give it 10/10 stars.

This course was clear and concise . I learned more than I expected and had many of my questions answered as the modules completed. This gave me a better understanding and respect for the critical role that the contact tracer has in protecting public health and keeping communities safe and educated about infectious disease and how to prevent transmission.

Incredibly well-presented and informative overview of contact tracing for COVID-19. The educator is well-spoken, easy to understand, and presents the information in a manner that is both engaging, helpful, and packed with good information. The visual aids (charts, glossaries, video calls) add insight and help to ensure the information sticks. Great course!

The course was simple, but it provided so much valuable information, that it is difficult to access its value per individual. I was able to use the techniques I learned from this course immediately. I learned that the obstacles I faced were not unusual and to be expected, and that in some cases there are no resolve. I am so happy that I took this course.

Was very clear and well-presented. The only part that was a little confusing had to do with the definitions sections of how to conduct conversations at the end. I need to do more research to fully understand the difference between reflecting and paraphrasing. Also missed the part about laundry! :) All in all, very good experience and would recommend!

Absolutely interesting! The instructor is very knowledgeable and she explains every term with great clarity, I loved it! I feel very confident that I can get a job as a part time contact tracer and perform my duties with knowledge and understanding about covid-19 and how to communicate with cases and contacts, so we help control the spread of Sars-CoV-19.

I found this course to be very thorough and informative. It succinctly provided all the relevant skills to successfully carry out the role of a contact tracer. I work in the UK as a contract tracer for NHSP / PHE. I really liked how the course material was delivered. It was interesting to see the similarities and differences between the US and UK systems.

It is well designed and the examples demonstrate effective communication without being too exaggerated. Easy to follow with with many helpful skills and tips that one can apply as a contact tracer.
