This course is the first of a series that aims to prepare you for a role as an entry-level IT Support Specialist. In this course, you’ll be introduced to the world of Information Technology, or IT. You’ll learn about the different facets of Information Technology, like computer hardware, the Internet, computer software, troubleshooting, and customer service. This course covers a wide variety of topics in IT that are designed to give you an overview of what’s to come in this certificate program. A great dive into things that were only in my periphery and now I have a broader understanding of certain technology and ideas and how I might pursue and look into them further. Great beginner course.

I'm from commerce background. I don't have much exposure to computers. But, I'm interested to learn how computer works. This course gives me the knowledge and showed me a way to go. I'm travelling in that way. Thank you Google and coursera.

Great course that will prepare you for the A+. I got my A+ before taking this course and if I could do it over again...I'd certainly have taken this course first! I would've gotten so much more out of my A+ education had I taken this prior.

Everything seem to be very well broken down to a very basic level of understanding. I really like having the labs to where we can perform hands on training and not just a step by step learning process. I excited to start my journey into IT.

Everything is very well explained. Having the transcripts to the videos helps since I like to read and review the material after watching the video. The quizzes focus on important points and the organization builds on each skilled learned.

The is a must do course! I recommend it to everyone whose goal is to step into the IT support world. The lectures and the approach taken by the instructions in teaching is very outstanding even to someone who learning IT for the first time.

I really enjoyed the various instructors and all their individual perspectives. I also appreciated all of the 'hands-on' practice opportunities using quicklabs. That was the one part that was a bit scary for me but ended up being just fine.

Great Beginner Course!

Lots of information in easily digestible segment. Videos with Subtitles really made it easy to follow along with ideas and concepts. Being able to click a section and have the presenter read it over again was awesome.
