This course covers the basics to give you an elementary understanding of what an IT technical support specialist needs to know. It isn't as detailed and in-depth as CompTIA A+ in regards to the IT hardware side of things but it is a great starting ground for those looking to learn the basics of IT.

This was a great course to start in since I currently do n ot work in IT, it was great for me to learn the basics and build a foundation. I truly enjoyed it even more than attending school online because of the videos and instructors. It makes you feel like you are in an actual classroom. I love it!

Really good introduction to the technical support world. Some topics covered were really basic for me but I would imagine it needs to be approachable to people without any knowledge in IT. Really enjoyed the personal stories from Google team - I would love to be one of them in your future courses :)

This is an excellent stepping off point into the role of an IT Specialist.

I found the history, and technology terminology and the presentation of all this course material excellent.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking to obtain an education in IT without paying a fortune for college classes.

Awesome course, being new to this field comming in with no experience besides my own personal experience dealing with computers I can say I've learned alot from this course let alone continuing my journey to earn the rest of the certifications and specializations offered though google and much more!

Some information may feel basic if you have a background in tech, but it's a great way to make sure you don't have any holes in your knowledge before diving in further. And if you don't have experience working in tech, this provides a great overview of most of the things you are likely to encounter.

This is a very interesting program where you can learn about what it takes to be an IT Support Professional. As a certificate program, it provides a great overview of what it takes to be in the IT Support field. Taking this course made me more interested to learn about specific topics related to IT.

Such as listening, speaking, writing and English skills. Which I was quite weak.

Anyone who has not taken this course Do not delay to take the class.

The course was fascinating, the instructors were professional and focused, assignments were flexible but a bit slow, it concentrated on both empirical and theoretical but the theoretical part was a bit larger.

I am very thankful for being granted such an awesome opportunity by Google.keep up Google.

I really enjoyed this first step in the world of IT, it sounded daunting but as I progressed each week it was fairly easy to understand especially in layman terms. I did get help from online IT chat support and they were awesome and had me understand even more on why I am pursuing what I love to do.

In my opinion, this is an awesome course, despite having no background knowledge, thanks to this course I'm now able to understand all the fundamentals of IT, and I just love it. I highly recommend it, especially for those people who are starting in the IT world and giving their first steps. Thanks!

Growing up around computers, tinkering, upgrading, repairing and trouble shooting them on my own I have learned a lot. Taking this course I was surprised I still have a lot more to learn and am very happy courses like this exists. I wish we had courses and online learning like this back in the 90's.

This was an interesting certification. I was able to complete it in 3 weeks and I believe that with some determination you could possibly complete it in a similar time if not faster.

Defiantly make shore that you are not just doing it for the degree but make sure you actually understand the material.

Excellent program! If you know nothing about IT but want to start on a career path, this is the course for you. The videos are great as they take you step-by-step on a path of learning all of the basic skills you'll need to begin your IT Support Specialist career. Definitely worth signing up for.

I think this course is very nice! It was really good because I noticed that I have been solving a lot of problems in life and this IT course gives me a lot of directions to solve the clients problems too! However I found some technical problems, coursera´s team was very nice to help me solving them!

This has been a great course so far. The explanations are easy to understand, even for someone with very little tech knowledge. The written transcripts are the best because I can follow along even if I don't have sound - and it helps me to take notes. Overall, a great way to present the material.

I feel so excited to dive more into this field now, the way the first course was made and the breaking down of topics was amazing. the lecturers were professionals and their teaching technics were effective and super easy to remember. hats of for both google and Coursera for this beautiful course.

I love how this course walks you through each and every part of the experience from building a computer to how to remote into them in such an easy to understand way that it gives someone who has never done it before an ablity to feel like they can actually do this succefully...cause they ...WE CAN!

A quality, well-balanced intro to tech support fundamentals. If you are a heavy computer user for recreational/work purposes currently (I.E. lots of gaming, rec. coding, work with computers as a primary interface to your job) you will already know ~60% or more of the content covered in this course.

So far in completing 1 or the 5 required portions of the course I am extremely excited for what is to come and I am highly fulfilled with the level of information I have obtained thus far. I have encountered minor problems with loading labs but other then that, the interface operates very smoothly.

Very well structured introductory lectures. A lot of information to digest. The only detail I do not like is that there are lengthy videos of the instructors talking about there personal experience. I consider these should be optional and included at the end of the course for those who are curious.

A great course! Everything was very professionally represented. This course made intimidating topics easy to grasp because of it's way of describing things efficiently and simply. I feel confident that IT is the perfect fit for me after completing this course and seeing what the field has to offer.
