Great fun way of learning about personal thought processing, attitudes and well-being.

Very helpful course to get me to assess my life and how to make the changes I needed to improve my well-being.

This amazing course has taught me about things that really matter to me. I especially liked to learn about things that don't make us happy (though we think they do) and things that do make us happy (and why it takes intentional effort to commit to these new habits). The icing on the cake were the nudges and support strategies to really commit to the changes I liked to make in my daily routines.

Thoroughly enjoyable and lived up to the hype from others. I believe that I took a lot out of the classes, developing much stronger awareness of existing habits, as well as starting to develop some new ones. I hope to continue to be able to learn from and reflect from the teachings and literature underpinning this topic going forward. Many thanks to everyone involved in producing this course :)

This was an awesome course. The Professor is amazing, here style of teaching, warmth and delivery, makes you want to listen to her all day. I highly recommend this course. I'm old(er), I was not really sure I had the capacity for coursework any longer, but I did it, and I loved it. Don't doubt your capacity, and if you think you could be happier or enjoy life even a bit more, take this course.

This course was so interesting. I enjoyed finding out a bout the research and then seeing how that can be put into practise to build a happier life. There are things in here that you have heard you should take time to do like gratitude that finally make sense. The lecturer makes the content interesting and relevant. This was my first online course and it has made me want to do more...thank you.

Professor Laurie Santos has the amazing and powerful energy to redirect and teach new techniques to achieve a balance mind. In this course, she not only explain how the mind works but also how to help our mind to be healthy by very simple, yet difficult habits, sush as eating, sleeping and exercising.

It was a good investment and definitely a great experience. Thank you for giving us this tool.

I have enjoyed everything about this course. I am a health teacher so this is why I took it. I deal with so many kids with mental health concerns so I just wanted to know what really makes someone happy. I wrote in a journal for a month about 3 things I am grateful for every day. I was consistent with the whole month. I liked looking back at what I was grateful full. Keep up the good work.

An excellent course. Extremely well presented and made meaningful by the rewirements. I would encourage everyone to do it but not just read through it, really engage with the material. Reading some of the assignments I don't think some people really understood what they were reading or were really vague. Be specific in what you want to achieve. Set measurable goals not vague, meaningless ones

Exceptional Course which should be mandatory in schools everywhere and is truly a gold mine for anyone seeking to live their lives with more joy and purpose!

Professor Santos is inspirational in her honesty and the ease with which she shares her knowledge. I loved every second of this learning and look forward to continuing to implement everything I have learnt here. Thanks a million Laurie :)

It's life changing. The huge plus for the course is that everything Dr. Santos says is based on academic studies, peer reviewed and published. It's not just a "guru's" opinion. She beautifully presents this research in clear, simple english. Essentially you learn what doesn't make people happy, despite what they think, and 6 simple habits that do increase your happiness. Am deeply grateful.

I really enjoyed taking this course. The ability to quantify and rate my happiness scores helped tremendously as did communicating with others in discussion forums. To be able to read what others were going through and how they dealt with issues in their lives gave me some insight into mine. I feel my level of humanity has increased exponentially in the time I have spent taking this course.

This is a fantastic course (thank you Professor Santos!) that is incredibly applicable to everyone's lives and provides so many actionable steps we can take to increase our daily happiness. Especially during this time of COVID, unrest, and overall uncertainty, this course is fantastic for thinking about the little things that make a big difference in our happiness. Professor Santos is amazing!

Tremendous course on the psychology and science of what makes us happy vs what we THINK makes us happy (spoiler alert: they're not the same). Engaging lectures, interesting activities and reflections, I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to improve their own happiness, or for health professionals and counselors like myself who want to use these learnings and techniques with clients!

This was a very informative and useful course. It gives me life skills to work on everyday so I can feel more satisfied in my daily life as I work towards my true passions in life. I have goals that are achievable and can overcome my road blocks. I definitely think there was so much good information that one would need to review the content over a few times to get the benefit of the course.

I have read books about positive psychology before but this course is brilliantly structured and presented to help you to really internalise the research findings and implement them in your life. The material is really engaging and interactive and the professor pitched the difficulty level of the material just right—showing us the science behind the claims, but without overwhelming us in data.

This course gives the learner a variety of skills to help improve their overall happiness and well-being. The rewirements and assignments to practice them weekly were a huge benefit in my overall well-being. I appreciated the addition of the final assignment to pick a rewirement and practice for four weeks. This course led to an improvement in my well-being and happiness on a day-to-day basis.

A great course with a fascinating instructor! Thank you Laurie, and your team a lot! I am really happy about the outcomes! After doing a happiness measurement test before and after the course I can see a great impact which this course had to my well-being. I got 2 more happiness points. And it is not just the numbers, most importantly - I really do feel that I am happier. Thanks a lot again!

The content is wonderful. I think there are some flaws to the peer-reviewed final assignment (my preference would be for an actual assessment with clear black-and-white answers as qualitative peer review takes into account personal thoughts and judgments in a way that sometimes isn't beneficial), but that doesn't take away from the actual content. I've recommended this course more than once!

I feel as though that. I appreciate this course more in my late 30s then I would have in my early 20s. I wanted to dig deep and engulf myself in a new practice and understanding of life‘s happiness. It made me rethink so many things and I am so grateful for this course. It has helped me and then I brought what I have learned to my community and my friends and they’ve all enjoyed it as well

This course is helpful for life! I am so glad I took it and learned some ways to increase my happiness and well-being. I will continue to use what I learned here, forever. I appreciated the research and insight of Ms. Santos, the books she mentioned so I could do some in-depth learning, and that she got us actually practicing what we were learning so we could see the true benefit. Thank you!

It was an amazing journey learning from professor Laurie Santos so great and useful content. In summary, it can help us to be aware that we already have all we need to be happy, we just need to pay attention and intentionally use the proper tools to make it happen. Thank you professor Santos for helping several people like me to improve our well-being level by using helpful and simple tools.

As a psychology major and now graduate, this is the type of material that makes me enjoy the field of psychology. Researching ways to improve people's lives and sharing strategies of how to apply what is learned is what I want to make a career out of with my bachelor's in Psychology. This course was very beneficial in my learning, and I am thankful for Yale for offering this course for free.
