Fabulous course. I learned a lot of does and doesn't make us happy, and learned valuable tools for introducing and integrating new habits into my life that will definitely contribute to my well-being.

Great fun way of learning about personal thought processing, attitudes and well-being.

Very helpful course to get me to assess my life and how to make the changes I needed to improve my well-being.

I am thoroughly enjoying this course. I am a certified coach and find this course a wonderful tool and resource. Dr. Santos has a comfortable, relate-able style as seen on the question answer and lectures with students. I greatly appreciate the videos, TED Talks, articles and reference books related to the topic. I have taken pages of notes and expanded my book resource list too! Thank you!!

This course was a really good and fascinating learning experience because I got to learn so much about myself. It not only thought how to improve of well being but I also got to introduce this course to people I know and so far only good things are being said. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone because it is a great learning experience and it is good to learn more about ourselves.

Thank you for this course! I really learned a lot about happiness and well-being. I try to help my friends with my new knowledge. I especially enjoyed the scientific researches on every topic. The graphs and charts made it clear to me, how easy it is to overthink and see problems where there is none. I thank Professor Laurie Santos for this interesting course and for excellent presentation.

I am grateful for this course - just what I needed at just the right time. The material was concise and engaging, the checkpoints were helpful, and the final four weeks kick-started positive personal change. Dr. Santos was forthright about the hard-wired challenges to living well, and about the results that come with intentional, effortful work. I've built a new habit that I can stick with.

This course has changed my outlook on life completely! Instead of ‘suffering’ with an ever increasing list of multiple autoimmune conditions, chronic pain, CRPS and a retinal thrombosis last year.. some sight loss and the impact this all has on my mental health -this course helped me understand what was really important in life, and how to move forward with a growth mindset! This course is refreshing and it takes on the old dogmas of society and provides a much-needed explanation of why happiness is craved by many but understood by very few. Dr Laurie Santos does a terrific job in terms of inculcating the happiness index and her work might change the lives of many. I recommend this course to anyone who finds difficult to cope up with certain attribute of life.

It was an excellent course. What I liked the most about it is how gradually destroys the misconceptions that we have about what makes us happy and what that thing makes us happy. On the whole, it was a blast, and the lecturer was quite good. The students seemed to be engaged in the class. Something that I take with me is the focus on experiences rather than things. That resonated with me.

Interesting, well-presented, well-documented strategies for improving well-being and avoiding pitfalls to achieving that goal. Well-structured lectures and interviews with authors and researchers supported the recommendations of the course. I would highly recommend this course to all who would experiment with the rewirement suggestions and conscientiously follow the discussed strategies.

Refreshing and well presented. Laurie Santos brings new perspectives and studies on the Science of Well Being. I was so surprised that it was filled with new information about improving happiness and increasing the quality of life. It is totally applicable to life (which differs from many courses). As a professor, she exudes authenticity and really connects with students of all levels.

I really enjoyed this course. I have been sharing many of the ideas with my friends and family. I think would be a great course for people of any age. I wish many of these ideas were taught in our SEL curriculum taught in our public schools. Start with these ideas at middle school or before. Thanks to Yale for the opportunity to take this class and to Laurie Santos for her expertise.

Muy bueno y practico el curso. Muy bien explicado. Los conceptos son explicados con ejemplos diarios y el material complementario es muy informativo. Te ayuda no solo a adquirir conocimiento si no también a llevarlo como un proceso propio donde pones a prueba tus hábitos. ME gusto la seleccion de autores y colaboradores, entrevistas y videos. Ayuda mucho que esten subtitulados en español.

This was my first Coursera online class, and I have to say that it was probably the most helpful class I've taken. It's helped me realize what's really important in my life, given me the techniques and skills to make healthy changes, and provided me with a space to really implement these changes in a solid, habit-building way. I recommend this class to everyone. It's truly life changing.

I am a happy person by nature, this course intrguied me because I often wondered is there science behind happiness or are you just born with it? I learned that there is some genetic involvement but I was happy to learn that happiness can be learned. The one thing I really took away was how to use the woop method to fulfill your goals! Thank You Laurie Santos...this was a great experience.

I loved this class. It was fortuitous to take during the first weeks of social isolation. It kept me from going down the rabbit hole. I think everyone can benefit from the information in this course. Happiness does not come from where we think it does! Its good to learn what is needed to find more happiness and it helps that there is science that backs it up. I highly recommend it!

Excellent course. I learned a few interesting techniques that will help me with work-life balance. Specifically, I've learned the importance of savoring. Savoring allows me to practice being in the moment and truly appreciating that experience. it's a challenge as I've never been an expert at doing this, however I have new tools with which to practice.

Happiness is merely more than a smile on face...its more of the habits and values that we have. Es un curso que deberia ser esencial en todas las carreras, aporta muchas cosas positivas y esclarece porque vivimos en la insatisfacción y ansiedad y no en el bienestar y alegría. This Course has been truly life changing, I found it at just the right time after recovering from the psychological impact of covid 19 and being in lock down as well as never really feeling like I have a clear head or felt happiness after having my boys. I now am actively practising the new skills I have learnt about and have clarity of mind and have experienced the feeling of happiness.

It was a wonderful experience to me to take this course. Im a psychologist and Im very interested in Positive Psychology, so this course came as a complement to my studies in this area. Professor Laurie Santos did a great work with her clear explanations in the lectures. I just loved and change a lot things in my life for better! Thanks for the help ... ive always internalized a lot of feelings and emotions and ive learned that I need to spend more time on myself FOR myself... need to grasp that 40% and lead my life. the course is REALLY worth doing it opened my eyes in a few different ways got some new perspectives on life very simple weekly classes good if you have some spare time on your hands during lockdown

I took this course because it sounded right up my ally with what I do as a fitness professional. I love empowering women and taking time to help others feel better about themselves. In the process of helping others you sometimes lose yourself. I was able to take this course to refuel me and learn new ways to help my well being. I loved the genuine instructor and her calming, kind voice.
