This was a very comprehensive overview of a complex disease, COVID19, and contract tracing.
The modules were well organized reinforced by video demonstrations and evenly paced quiz sections.
This introduction to contract tracing provided a framework into the scope of practice of a contract tracer.
I would highly recommend this course to all public heath department new hires.

I like the course very much. The course material is well organized, short segments in each module with quizzes. I can also go back to review a segment should I need refreshing. Professor Gurley's instruction was clear and concise. I especially enjoy the module on communication, which is useful in our everyday life, not just contact tracing. Thank you for offering the course!

Though the course was a little confusing to navigate at first, it was an amazing course. The course is well taught, comprehensive and informative. It is packed with so much knowledge. There should not be a time limit from employers, because this course pulls you into wanting to listen again to more than one topic. This is how interesting the course is. I highly recommended!

This course was helpful to learn about COVID-19 and the goals of slowing down the spread. Even if a person isn't going to be a contact tracer for their county/state, they will learn about the process and how to be empathetic to those who have been affected by COVID-19 and how to responsibly assist in this pandemic response. Thank you to those involved in making this course.

I'm very glad that I was told about this course, and happy that I have completed the first week of it. It has basic information that goes beyond what is already known about COVID-19, which I found important and the explanations were very clear and easy to follow. It's an invaluable course for what I hope will be an enlightening education on COVID-19 and becoming a tracer.

This course was fantastic and very informative! All the information was presented very clearly, and the included examples of how to conduct tracing phone calls were great. Overall, highly recommended and useful to help everyone navigate these difficult times, whether your an official contact tracer or an individual learning how to safely engage with and help protect others.

I appreciate this response to the pandemic. Can't thank you enough for making it available for free. You are not only helping the public health infrastructure. You've helped me personally. I was a restaurant manager for a restaurant that will be closed for the upcoming year, possibly longer. You've given me a chance at helpful employment.
The course was excellent.
Thank you.

This was a great course to learn the basics about "Contact Training". The instructor, Ms. Gurley was outstanding and the videos, tests and written narratives were superb. I am certain that I have a lot more to learn before I might become an effective participant but this course provides a great start!! Thank you to Ms. Gurley, Johns Hopkins, Michael Bloomberg and Coursea!!!

I have been in medicine all of my adult life. I have taken several infectious classes and have obtained additional Pandemic CEs as well. I am usually very unimpressed by course materials offered ; however this course is the first I would recommend to any of my peers- ranging from MD, to LVN, RN, PA, EMT, or Paramedics. Thank you for the intensive and well structured class.

The course was clearly presented. The concepts were explained thoroughly and backed up with examples. I like the unlimited-attempts quizzes. They build confidence in the material and make progress towards completion stress-free. Most importantly, I am confident in what I have learned and look forward to helping reduce the incidence of infection through contact tracing.

Such an informative instruction to enable me to assist in the global fight against SARS CoV-2! the instruction was thorough and the format made it easy to absorb. Johns Hopkins University considered both the length and complexity of the lessons. Also, the facilitator was easy to understand. I would consider attending another class via coursera and Johns Hopkins University!

The course was very informative. I would suggest a bit more information be given about HIPPA rules and regulations in regard to patient privacy to provide more understanding of this issue for those who may not be trained on this subject. I hope the course content will be updated when scientific data changes so that the most current information is available for students.

The course is well-paced and thorough. It built steadily on the information that it presented. I felt that I progressed from Basic to Intermediate to Able to Help Others. The presentation was palatable. The modules provided a great deal of information. It was helpful to take mini quizzes along the way to check that I had absorbed the information that was being presented.

I am thankful that I came across John Hopkins Contact Tracing Coursera Browsing the Internet. The Contact Tracing Coursera was easy. I learned the right procedure and approach when contacting a case or contact to Build their Trust. I am ecstatic about Joining the Team of Contact Tracing providing I selected as a Contact Tracer employee. Thank you for your consideration!

This was an excellent course, taking a non-scientist complete beginner (me!) through all the stages in a well-ordered way. It taught the essential concepts and required (and transferrable) skills, gently testing my knowledge on the way so that the final graded assessment was perfectly manageable. I feel confident that I will be able to apply these principles in practice.

So very well done; The information was so much clearer than in a similar training provided by my state's public health department . The modeled conversations were great, the periodic assessment checks were needed, and so on. Public Health Departments and federal institutions like FEMA who try to educate the public should really turn to professional educators for help.
