This course was comprehensive in the details of determining how to guide a case or contact through the confusing and difficult process of dealing with both having covid10 and possibly being infected. I highly recommend it to anyone who might want to learn how to help by contact tracing, and for those who just want to understand how the disease is spread and how contqct tracing is vital to minimize that.

this is a very good course specially on this time of pandemic it tells you about the do's and don'ts before , during and what to do especially when confronted by the disease it is a mind blowing awareness course for everyone. This is a great course! COVID-19 is such a hot topic that the information on COVID-19 is updated daily. I appreciate the instructor's efforts in reflecting the most recent CDC guidelines in the course materials. This was my first Coursera course. I had underestimated on-line courses and did not expect much this course to be that challenging. It has many features to assist me in my continuing education.

This course has all the essential information needed to understand COVID-19 better and start working as a contact tracer. Professor Emily Gurley was outstanding in selecting all the important topics, data, and information to be discussed, with easy to understand videos and slides, and real-life practical exercises. The length of videos and quizzes were both on the spot as well. Excellent in every way!

This class was excellent! It paced appropriately and the information was helped me understand the importance of contact tracking. I have a disappointment to report. I repeatedly attempted to access the drop down menu to learn how to get a job as a contact tracer and it didn’t work! None of the drop down questions worked! And in the learn more section the things on the drop down menu were not addressed.

The MOMENT I started the course i was overwhelmed with the initial feeling of joy! , while smiling thinking to my self this COURSE will increase my knowledge. And UNDERSTANDING as the course progressed I BECAME MORE AND MORE AWARE OF HOW ONE SINGLE SOUL COULD POSSIBLY PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE LIFE CHANGING PANDEMIC

Personally, I wanted to be more knowledgeable with the virus and contact tracing. This course not only allowed me to learn what contact tracing is, but how important it is to establish a good rapport with someone who may have come in contact to assist them with directing them to people who can help them, get help I have lost two people to this awful virus and I want to be of serve to my community.

This was amazing learning, however it was bit tricky somewhere but I enjoyed a lot and this learning definitely helpful for me to utilize the knowledge to make safe and awareness in the Indian society during this pandemic situations.

Very impressed with the thoughtful preparation of this course. Extremely valuable and filled with clear, concise information. layout and format easy to Follow and data presented easy to interpret. Much attention was put into developing a step by step approach to case and contact communications not to mention insight into new applications and processes data driven using technology and social media.

Given that COVID-19 is a new disease and we have somehow limited pieces of information about it yet, this course helped me a lot to understand thoroughly how we can effectively prevent or slow down its spread. This also taught me how to have a very efficient and effective contact tracing effort and procedures that can also help a lot in the fight against this deadly coronavirus. Thank you very much!

While this course seemed to move slowly, I felt the information was extremely important and the communication skills training is essential for dealing with this emotionally charged topic/pandemic. Those skills can be translated to other situations. Having clear understanding of the infectious period for cases and contacts is most helpful in having clear guidelines to share with cases and contacts.

Very informative and useful. I work for the Public Works Dept. Bureau of Sanitation of a major City our mission is to protect the public health and the the environment. As City employees we are by default Disaster Service Workers (DSW) and may deployed at any moment to help out with the City's response to COVID 19. Contact tracing is one of the many assignments we may be called upon to take part in.

I liked the learning format. Short videos with very clear diagrams. Also, below each video I found the full written text of the narration below each video which reinforced the audio. Frequent short quizzes kept me reviewing important course content. Finally, the course exam asked specific questions on the most important content. I felt satisfied that it was worth the time I invested. Thank you

I felt that the course presenter was easy to listen to. She was clear, directed and kept me on track and focused throughout the modules. Her manner was calm and it was evident that this was a subject she was well equipped to “unpack” and break down thoroughly .

I appreciated the examples, the sample scripts and videos as well as testing to reinforce what was taught in each segment within each module.

As a medical student I found this course very useful for all the community. Being free helped a lot due to the crisis we are confronting. The information, the test and the summaries are very clear for everyone who is part or not of natural sciences studies or anything related to sciences helping to all of ours communities to reach knowledge in this topic to prevent the spread of this and any virus.

I loved this course and learned so much.. I took the course online at Chicago State University as well and passed the course as well. It was very informative as your course. I have learned a lot from both courses your courses had more learning information.

This was an awesome course. The instructor was phenomenal!!! I really enjoyed listening to her, and how she would explain everything in detail. Funny, in some of the mods, if there were something no quite clear to me, it was as if she knew, she would explain it again but in different wording that made it to where i understood perfectly. It was great!!!! she was very thorough and articulate.

This course enlightened my understanding of COVID-19 and contact tracing. It is well written, very clear regarding the training/information and a bonus for the helping the community and professionals.

This course helps me redefine the understanding of the Covid-19. In the past, I showed no concern about this sort of disease since the CDC have controlled the outbreak dramatically, albeit the case number was bigger than expected. Currently, I know more about how to control it efficiently. I just hope there can be some intermediate or advanced courses that aims on introducing the virus in details.

The course was more through than I expected. Now I just wish more States would adopt it, or maybe, it could be a nation wide process. Thanks for your efforts. Are there any plans to set up a database of jobs, or people interested in actually doing this? It seems a shame to train people, then leave them hanging, especially when there are still people spreading this disease, and others, still dying.

This course was very easy to understand, well-organized, and divided into manageable chunks. Such a great experience, especially since I work full time. I was able to take it at my own pace, which I really appreciated. The knowledge was valuable and will help me with my future work. This was a very informative course. The format made it interesting and fun to learn. Even if I do not become a contact tracer, this course made me so much more knowledgeable w/regards to Covid 19. I only hope others can understand how important testing and contact tracing is, so that the spread of this virus can be slowed down, or stopped. Everyone's goal is to get back to our lives. I recommend this course because it is clear, well structured with two blocks: a first part about Covid-19 and then another part about skills, and contact techniques to achieve a good tracking.
